Based in a state-of-the-art facility, this is a hands-on, career-building role for a proactive Assistant Accountant ready to take ownership and act as the 2IC to the State Commercial Manager. What you'll do: In this hands-on role, you'll take on key financial responsibilities that directly contribute to the business's success. Your day-to-day will include: Support month-end close including journals and balance sheet reconciliations Prepare and analyse financial reports for head office submission Assist in managing the fixed asset register and capital expenditure (capex) process Provide financial support to internal stakeholders across operations and commercial teams Maintain accurate transactional records and ensure compliance with internal controls Act as a key support to the State Commercial Manager, stepping up when require Contribute to process improvements and system efficiencies within finance Use Excel, SAP, BPC/Hyperion to manage and analyse financial data Who You Are: You're a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and is ready to hit the ground running. With a strong commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality results, you take pride in your ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with others to achieve key organisational priorities. To excel in this role you are: Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce or Business (working towards CPA/CA is a plus) Have 2 years' experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally in manufacturing or a fast-paced environment A confident user of Excel; experience with SAP/BPC/Hyperion advantageous Detail-oriented and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability A natural communicator who enjoys collaborating across departments Eager to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibilities with mentoring support.
