Infrastructure Specialist Role

This is a unique opportunity to work as an experienced Infrastructure Specialist. The role involves maintaining and developing clients on-premises infrastructure and applications.

* Maintain, monitor and alert services within the on-premise infrastructure.
* Provide technical guidance during new technologies initiatives.
* Work with the team to support end users.
* Follow established processes to release verified, validated and documented enhancements.
* Recognize opportunities to improve performance against Service Level.
* Act as a point of escalation for other team members to resolve service delivery issues.


Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

* Supporting the deployment of new technologies and infrastructure solutions.
* Collaborating with the team to identify and address infrastructure issues.
* Developing and implementing technical designs to meet service delivery requirements.
* Providing expert advice on Windows Server environments and related technologies.
* Analyzing trends and reports on information to resolve problems.


Requirements and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* Strong knowledge and experience in Windows Server environments.
* Experience in Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, Windows Update Services, and TCP/IP.
* Experience in virtualisation technologies and management tools such as Hyper-V, Switch Embedded Teaming, Failover Cluster Manager, and SC-VMM.
* Experience in load balancing technologies such as Kemp.
* Experience in Storage Management such as SAN/NAS and RAID configurations.
* Hold a level of working knowledge for PowerShell to automate administrative tasks and processes.
* Understanding of hardware management including installation, configuration, and maintenance of physical servers, server racks, cabling, and local power management.


Soft Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

* Problem solving analytical and troubleshooting skills.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills for working effectively within a team.
* Ability to manage concurrent incidents and problem records.
* Adaptability in supporting a changing ICT landscape.
