The Opportunity
Due to continued growth and internal promotion, Wild Desert is seeking skilled Diesel Mechanics to join our team in Roma and Moomba on a 2/2 roster.
As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our heavy machinery, plant, equipment and vehicles.
Key responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related components
* Perform routine maintenance and servicing on a range of heavy‑duty equipment
* Identify and resolve complex mechanical issues
* Maintain accurate records of all work completed
* Collaborate with the wider team to ensure efficient operations
* Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
* Complete work tasks as assigned in Business Management System
What we're looking for
* Qualified Diesel Mechanic with at least 3 years' experience
* Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills
* Excellent mechanical aptitude and practical skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Commitment to safety and quality standards
* Good communication and customer service skills
* Oil and Gas Field experience is favourable
