We are currently seeking applications for a Senior Social Worker to join our team for maternity cover until mid-March 2026 on a full-time fixed-term contract around North of the river.
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, the Senior Social Worker provides appropriate and relevant Social Work intervention and services to meet the needs of Brightwater At Home's clients. Brightwater At Home services clients with Home care Packages, Commonwealth Home Support Packages and the Transitional Care Community program.
The Senior Social Worker's role is to assess the client's social situation and intervene appropriately in areas related to administration, guardianship, financial, legal, and healthcare planning, within the community. The Social Worker also supports clients and their representatives in dealing with major life events, including adjustment issues and psychosocial concerns.

The ideal candidate will:
* Hold membership, or be eligible for membership, with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) (active membership preferred)
* Have a strong commitment to providing safe, high-quality care
* Possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in various environments with diverse populations
* Demonstrate experience as a Social Worker in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating client care
* Be able to organize and prioritize tasks, work effectively under pressure, problem-solve, and meet deadlines
* Have working knowledge of occupational safety and health legislation; and where relevant, the Aged Care Act (1997), Disability Services Standards, and the Guardianship and Administration Act (1990)
* Hold a Senior First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain within 3 months of starting)
* Possess a current satisfactory National Police Certificate (obtained within the last 12 months)
* Have a current Western Australian 'C' Class Driver's License and own a reliable car
* Provide evidence of up-to-date flu vaccination
