About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Practitioner to become a pivotal part of our vibrant team. The role offers the chance to make a significant impact on the lives of children and young people, providing them with the support and interventions they need to thrive. This position is a fixed, full‐time role (76 hours per fortnight) until September30,2026, based in Eight Mile Plains, supporting families across Brisbane with competitive pay starting from $51 per hour.
Responsibilities
* Forge impactful relationships with children and youth of varying ages, applying micro‐therapeutic techniques to foster resilience and a deeper understanding of their backgrounds.
* Evaluate the strengths and potential risks in care placements, empowering Foster and Kinship Carers with the essential skills to ensure a safe and nurturing environment.
* Work collaboratively with stakeholders to craft and execute bespoke therapeutic interventions for individuals and carers, considering the unique needs across developmental phases from infancy to 17years.
Qualifications, Credentials and Other Requirements
* Degree in Health, Human Services, Behavioural Science, Social Work, Psychology or a related field (essential).
* Current National Police Check.
* Current Blue Card.
* Current Licence in Care Service (LCS).
* Current Driver's Licence.
* CertificateIV in Workplace Training and Assessment (desired).
* Ability and willingness to travel within the service region.
* Ability and willingness to work outside of standard business hours and provide on‐call support as required.
About You
* Experience engaging with carers through training, recruitment and support processes.
* Demonstrated ability in assessing complex situations, crafting personalised care strategies and offering direct in‐home support.
* Thorough understanding of child protection laws and practices.
* Skills to deliver training and lead support groups effectively.
* Ability to work within child‐centric and family‐oriented frameworks.
* Track record of managing detailed documentation efficiently.
