The Caloundra Panthers Australian Rules Football Club is a growing community football club who is committed to ensuring training & games at all levels are performed in a safe environment. To ensure the prevention of, and prompt attention to, injuries, it is important that adequate and timely first aid is delivered. AFL sports trainers play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of players by providing injury prevention, management, and support during games and training sessions.
Key Responsibilities
* Injury Management & Prevention: Perform pre-game strapping and injury prevention techniques. Assess injuries and provide immediate care, including first aid and emergency response as needed.
* Collaboration with Medical Professionals: Communicate any critical medical information and follow concussion protocols. Work with health professionals to ensure players receive appropriate care & rehabilitation.
* Equipment and Supplies Management: Ensure that all medical equipment and supplies are available and in good condition for training sessions & games. Communicate clearly with stakeholders and keep thorough records on player injuries & incidents.
* Logistics: Have availability for training sessions and matches (evenings & weekends).
Qualifications and Skills
* Level 1 Sports Trainer Certificate
* HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
* HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
* AFL First Aid and Concussion Management online module
* Working with Children Blue Card
