We're seeking an AML/CTF Officer to play a key role in transaction monitoring, investigations, enhanced due diligence, sanctions/PEP screening and regulatory reporting. If you thrive in a detail‑driven, investigative environment—and want to make a real impact—this is the role for you.

About the Role
In this role, you will:
* Review Unusual Activity Reports and prepare high‑quality Suspect Matter Reports for AUSTRAC.
* Assess sanctions, PEP and adverse media alerts to identify ML/TF risk.
* Conduct comprehensive Enhanced Customer Due Diligence (ECDD) on high‑risk individuals and complex entity structures.
* Analyse customer behaviour, source of funds/wealth, beneficial ownership and transactional patterns.
* Manage a caseload of investigations while meeting SLAs.
* Provide guidance to the business on KYC and onboarding requirements.
* Maintain accurate records, documentation, and contribute to ongoing process improvement.
* Liaise with law enforcement, regulators, industry bodies and other financial institutions.
* Represent the organisation in relevant industry forums and contribute to internal projects.

About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Demonstrated AML/CTF analysis or investigations experience in banking or financial services.
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills—able to explain complex information clearly.
* A collaborative mindset with the ability to work across multiple teams.
* High professional integrity and ethical judgement.
* Ability to meet screening requirements, including a National Police Check and ongoing EDD.
* Availability to participate in an occasional after‑hours standby roster.
Desirable
* Experience using banking systems, transaction processing systems, and/or financial crime monitoring platforms.
