As a Support Engineer, you'll play a key role in supporting specialist forensic software used across the public safety sector. You'll troubleshoot complex technical issues, support production environments, and work collaboratively with developers, designers, and subject matter experts to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions.
This role suits someone with strong technical support experience, excellent customer service skills, and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
Key responsibilities
* Provide technical support, maintenance and upgrades for commercial software products.
* Deliver exceptional service and build strong relationships with customers.
* Troubleshoot production issues, investigate bugs, and support data engineering tasks.
* Accurately document actions and resolutions in service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
* Operate within Continuous Integration (CI) environments and tools.
* Collaborate closely with software developers, UX designers, analysts, and SMEs.
* Participate in after-hours on-call support roster.
* Represent the organisation on client sites as needed.
* Prioritise work to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
* Demonstrate cultural awareness and maintain a positive team culture.
Skills & Experience
We're looking for candidates with:
* Minimum 3 years of experience in SQL, including advanced queries and database optimisation.
* Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud troubleshooting.
* Broad technical expertise across various platforms and systems.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
* Ability to resolve cloud application and database issues with precision.
* Excellent communication skills, especially when explaining technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple customer needs.
* Background in software engineering or ability to understand code (highly regarded).
* Must be an Australian citizen .
* Must have the ability obtain a Baseline or NV1 security clearance .
* Must be based in Brisbane .
