About the Role
We are seeking an organised and proactive People & Capability Coordinator to support the delivery of HR activities. This role provides essential coordination and administrative support across recruitment, onboarding, compliance, training, reporting and general HR operations.
Reporting to the People & Capability Manager, you will partner with staff, volunteers and leaders to ensure processes are smooth, timely and compliant. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate records, supporting engagement activities and ensuring new starters have a positive onboarding experience.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
* Coordinate recruitment activities across staff and volunteer roles including shortlisting, screening and interview scheduling
* Support volunteer recruitment through enquiries, reference checks and engagement documentation
* Manage onboarding workflows ensuring all tasks and compliance requirements are completed
* Monitor and maintain compliance records including police checks, WWVP registrations and licences
* Follow up with supervisors and individuals regarding outstanding onboarding, compliance and training actions
* Coordinate training logistics and maintain training records
* Prepare correspondence, documentation and reports as required by the People & Capability Manager
* Maintain accurate records, uphold privacy and ensure documentation meets compliance obligations
About You
You are a friendly, detail‐oriented and solutions‐focused coordinator who can balance multiple priorities while maintaining excellent communication.
You will bring:
* Strong interpersonal, customer service and communication skills
* Demonstrated organisational and time‐management skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality
* Experience using HRIS or database systems and proficiency with Microsoft Office
* A collaborative, proactive and ethical approach
* Experience in HR, recruitment or coordination roles within NFP, aged care, disability or transport sectors
Licences & Requirements
* Hold a current driver's licence
* Possess or be willing to obtain a Working with Vulnerable People Registration
* Be an Australian Resident or hold a valid Australian working visa
* Be willing to undertake intrastate travel as required
