Role Overview
The Principal Adviser – Process Safety plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective implementation of our Process Safety program across Pacific Operations.
You will collaborate with a global team, comprising industry experts who drive continuous improvement initiatives, partner with key stakeholders, and support governance reporting and risk assessment programs.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement process safety policies and procedures that adhere to Occupational Safety and Health requirements.
* Provide strategic input to business units and PG risk assessment committee.
* Design and deliver training programs for managers and employees on site process safety practices.
* Support HAZOP programs, including training and developing safety teams.
* Analyze accident causes and hazards, making recommendations to mitigate causes and avoid occurrences.
Requirements
* Hold tertiary qualifications in Engineering Safety or Process Safety.
* Have a collaborative mindset and experience shaping strategic direction in complex programs.
* Possess significant industrial and process safety experience, with proven capability to influence outcomes.
* Be passionate about building strong, respectful relationships with diverse stakeholders.
* Contribute to governance structures, including risk frameworks and reporting.
* Demonstrate a thoughtful, analytical approach to preparing strategic papers and governance documentation.
