Job Overview

We are seeking a Facilities Manager responsible for the day-to-day management of properties. The assets include schools, hospitals, courts, police stations, and other public assets, with responsibilities covering breakdown and maintenance, preventative maintenance, and small project management.

This is a permanent full-time position based in Port Lincoln. You will be responsible for identifying risks and opportunities related to maintenance and capital works, developing plans to achieve targets and optimize lifecycle costs.


Main Responsibilities

* Support strategic and asset planning initiatives.
* Analyze call-outs, reactive maintenance, and requests to inform maintenance plans and schedules.
* Be the first point of contact for technical, facilities management, and asset maintenance issues.
* Monitor contractor performance and ensure contracts are executed within scope and budget.
* Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during contract execution.
* Assist with audits and inspections.
* Build and maintain relationships with agencies, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
* Monitor and report on the delivery of work by subcontractors.
* Manage records and reporting to ensure performance standards are met.


Requirements

* Experience in facilities management, asset management, or related fields; career changers with transferable skills are encouraged to apply.
* A trade background is not necessary but knowledge of property maintenance and management is required.
* Project management qualification or relevant experience.
* A current driver's license is required.
