Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled culinary professional to fill the role of Demi Chef de Partie at our esteemed establishment.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare high-quality food and beverages efficiently, economically, and hygienically as per standard recipes and procedures.
* Supervise kitchen operations and ensure seamless service delivery at all times.
* Collaborate with the Sous Chef or Chef de Partie to maintain smooth kitchen operations and prompt service.
* Develop and implement innovative food and beverage products and set-ups in the restaurant.
* Work closely with recipes, standards, and plating guides to achieve exceptional results.
* Maintain impeccable cleanliness and hygiene standards according to safe and sound procedures as well as established FSMS protocols.
* Ensure adherence to HACCP aspects within the hotel operation.
* Utilize equipment, tools, and machines effectively and efficiently.
* Participate in off-site events when required.
* Assist with tasks outside of the kitchen area as needed.
* Contribute to inventory management and maintenance.
* Stay informed about hotel occupancy, events, forecasts, and achievements.
* Prepare customized menus as requested.
* Collaborate with the Stewarding department to maintain high levels of cleanliness and minimize lost and breakages.
* Provide exceptional customer service and respond promptly to guest requests.
* Adapt to changes and maintain a positive attitude towards colleagues and superiors.
* Comply with established hotel rules and team member handbook to ensure smooth departmental operations.
* Monitor ingredients for ala carte menus, daily menus, and seasonal specials while maintaining standards of pre-set recipes, portion control, and costing.
* Optimize food quality and quantity to minimize ingredient usage.
* Verify that prepared food meets the required standard and make necessary adjustments.
* Oversee overall food operation and ensure timely preparation of food items.
* Promote teamwork to achieve missions, goals, and overall departmental standards.
