**About the Role**
The Health and Injury Management Coordinator will provide support to the business to address employee health and injury factors impacting safe work participation. Provide advice and assistance directly to managers and staff in relation to work related injuries and non-work-related conditions. Oversee the management of workers compensation matters, health issues impacting staff, including workplace adjustments, staff training and preventative activities. You will administer and manage workers' compensation matters and oversee the management of staff injuries and health-related information within the organisation.
**About You**
To be successful in the role you will be able to:
- Provide health and injury management advice to all business units at Workskil Australia
- Ensure employees with declared health and injury matters, are assessed for workplace adjustments and capacity to undertake work tasks
- Manage the implementation of appropriate workplace adjustments to support employees with health and injury matters
- Manage a caseload of employees experiencing health issues or injuries impacting their ability to do their job roles
- Work with injured employees, their managers and relevant stakeholders to achieve positive return to work outcomes including developing and implementing return to work arrangements and plans
- Receipt and manage Workers Compensation Injury Claims in various jurisdictions.
- Engage with state-based Workers Compensation regulators regularly to ensure claims are managed effectively
- Monitor and communicate advice in relation to legislation, regulations and better practice in relation to safe work practices, workers compensation, injury/health prevention and management and develop and implement appropriate policies and procedures
- Prepare accurate management reporting as required
- Engage closely with Talent Mobility, Human Resource Management, Employee Relations, Safety and Legal to support employees experiencing health or injuries impacting their employment
- Identify and implement preventative strategies to improve employee wellbeing, consistent with the Diversity and Inclusion Plan - Wellbeing Strategy
- Identify lead indicator reporting to identify potential warning signs to prevent or mitigate the occurrence of work-related injuries
- Train and educate managers and employees about injury management and return to work processes
**You will also be required to**:
- Hold a Bachelor or higher qualification in any of the following: Human Resources Management, Injury Management, Work Health and Safety, Rehabilitation, Occupational Therapy or Health Sciences
- Hold a current driver's licence and possess a willingness to undertake interstate/intrastate travel as required

**Remuneration**
A competitive salary will be negotiated commensurate with skills and experience. As Workskil Australia is a public benevolent institution, we can also offer a portion of the salary through tax effective salary packaging.
