* Senior Threatened Species Officer (Environment Officer Class 9)
* Temporary part-time (28 hours per week) opportunity (up to 30 June 2030)
* Located in Albury (hybrid working supported)
* Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $124,322 to $138,494 (pro rata) + super

About the role

As a Senior Threatened Species Officer, you will deliver threatened species conservation strategies and projects. The role will also conduct targeted community engagement and education programs to support local threatened species recovery. This role will primarily focus on the delivery of a targeted orchid species recovery project. The position will work with volunteers, land managers, contractors and key stakeholders to meet a set of recovery targets and outcomes set out in the project plan.

About You

You will possess advanced technical skills and experience in the monitoring and management of threatened orchids or other flora species. Your passion for ecological conservation and a proven ability to plan and deliver on-ground conservation outcomes will be highly beneficially to project delivery. You will have a strong background in project management including in the development and delivery of survey design and conservation actions, field monitoring and reporting. You will thrive in collaborative environments, working with diverse stakeholders and project partners.

Essential Requirements

* A science degree or a degree in a relevant natural resource discipline.
* A valid Australian driver's licence, with four-wheel drive experience and training preferable.
