About the Business

As Australia's largest school photography brand, MSP Photography is a progressive and innovative company with 25 franchises nationwide, photographing more than 1.4 million students each year. Our state-of-the-art headquarters and production facility is located in Wagga Wagga, employing over 60 staff and producing high-quality school photography products for our national brand.

We are excited to offer a new opportunity, for an experienced Digital Press Operator to join our production team, operating the latest HP Indigo 7 Series presses.

What you will be doing

The successful applicant will work alongside a dedicated team producing high quality printed school products.

In this position, and with guidance from our Print Manager, you will be responsible for running our HP Indigo 7 series presses, producing high quality school photo products, flyers, yearbooks, posters and business cards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Press Operation: Setting up, calibrating, and running HP Indigo 7 series presses for various jobs.
* Quality Control: Monitoring print quality, ensuring colour matching, conducting checks and immediately identifying and troubleshooting print issues to maintain high standards.
* Material Management: Loading substrates (sheets), managing inks and supplies, and minimising waste.
* Maintenance: Performing routine cleaning, basic troubleshooting, pip and blanket changes and engaging our onsite technician and /or calling HP support for major repairs.
* Collaboration: Working with prepress, finishing, and other teams to ensure smooth workflow.
* Documentation: Tracking activities, logging issues, and communicating with supervisors.

About you:

* Have a minimum Level 1 Operator Certificate on HP Indigo, preferably in 7 series presses.
* During our peak periods (March–May and November annually) the ability to work a standard 10-hour rostered shift (7 AM to 5:30 PM) Monday to Friday and the occasional Saturday morning shift.
* Be proactive, quality focused, efficient and be able to work unsupervised.
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment, handling multiple tasks in order to met deadlines
* High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
* Be a permanent or full-time resident of Australia
