Our client, a reputable residential construction company, is seeking an experienced Leading Hand Carpenter to join their team on an exciting townhouse project in Ipswich. This role is ideal for a skilled carpenter who is ready to take the next step in their career, with the intention to train and develop into a Site Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor a small team of carpenters on-site.
* Coordinate daily carpentry tasks and ensure work is completed on schedule.
* Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
* Assist with site planning and liaise with the project management team.
* Support junior trades and foster a collaborative team environment.
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience as a carpenter, with previous leading hand experience preferred.
* Solid knowledge of residential construction, particularly townhouse projects.
* Ability to read and interpret plans and technical drawings.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Motivation to grow into a Site Supervisor role.
* QBCC licence is highly desirable.
