We are seeking an euthanistic trainee to join our team, this is a hands-on newly created entry-level role supporting our procurement / operations teams.
You will work closely with the the procurement manager, product directors, logistics teams, design teams and overseas suppliers.
This structured pathway combines formal study with practical, on-the-job learning to equip you with valuable skills in purchasing, tendering and supply chain management. You will be guided by industry leaders.
The Role
* Undertake structured training and on-the-job development in textiles
* Place purchase orders with local and overseas suppliers
* Assist with stock re-ordering and warehouse replenishment
* Work directly with local and overseas suppliers
* Ownership of end-to-end purchase order insuring key milestones are met, following up ETA and providing relevant updates from the supplier back to relevant stakeholders.
* Review purchasing backorder reporting and updating ETA’s.
* Assisting the Procurement Manager in logistics, both imports and exports.
Qualifications and experience:
* Minimum Year 12 certificate of completion
* Strong excel and data management skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; Excel (essential)
* Must demonstrate strong communication skills (verbal and written)
* Ability to work autonomously in a team environment
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail required
* An interest in textiles, local and overseas purchasing
* Ability to multi-task and prioritise projects
