Swickers Kingaroy Bacon Factory is an export meat processing facility, based in the South Burnett Region and is ideally located just 2 - 3 hours' drive to Brisbane, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast and Fraser Coast. Swickers has been in operation in Kingaroy for over 50 years and today employs approximately 800 employees.
As part of the Sunpork Group, Swickers is a state-of-the-art processing facility specialising solely in the production of fresh pork and distributing it widely across Australia and internationally. Swickers processes 95% of all Queensland's pork production, including the production of various pork value-add products for consumers worldwide. Swickers is the largest Australian owned pork processor and continues to be a market leader in pork production.

The IT Support Officer role takes responsibility for support and maintenance of end user computer systems and assisting in the support of networked business systems. Participating as part of the IT team to deliver effective and efficient IT support, while looking to improve technologies utilised in the business and address business challenges.
Key accountabilities include:
* Facilitate the delivery of efficient and effective incident and problem management processes through the provision of timely advice and issues resolution.
* As part of the ICT team, assist maintenance staff with troubleshooting and resolution of issues pertaining to SCADA and PLC equipment.
* Provide day to day support for Emydex and Thorsys across the Swickers facilities at Kingaroy and Eagle Farm.
* Participate in group change management activities monthly for systems and applications across numerous sites.
* Take ownership of all Level 1 issues and requests for Swickers reported to the IT service desk.
* Proactively monitoring IT & End User resources and infrastructure, identifying errors and implementing fixes.
* Assist peers within the IT team to deliver services within other locations.
* Demonstrate and exercise a commitment to promote, develop and improve the health, safety, environment and welfare of our people and animals.
What we're looking for
Swickers has established an efficient, highly skilled yet diversified team. As a key member you will have:
* A passion for technology, with experience in working in a highly agile manufacturing environment.
* Ability to demonstrate experience supporting end user computing devices and Windows PC's.
* Well developed communication skills and ability to work under high pressure situations.
* A Bachelor of Information Technology or equivalent Industry Certifications will be looked upon favourably.
* Ability to work rostered shifts, morning and afternoon, and weekends when required.
