Key Role Overview:
The role of an Aboriginal Practice Advisor involves providing expert advice on matters related to child protection, foster care and specialist services. This requires a deep understanding of the needs of Aboriginal children and families, as well as experience in developing culturally appropriate services.
About The Position:
This is a critical role within the Department of Children & Families NT, working closely with Team Leaders, Managers and Executives to provide evidence-based advice. The successful candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering culturally appropriate services for Aboriginal children, including provision of advice on child protection, foster care and specialist services; Developing and implementing policies and procedures that meet the needs of Aboriginal children and families; Working collaboratively with Team Leaders, Managers and Executives to achieve departmental objectives.
Requirements:
* Postgraduate degree in a relevant field
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
* Strong analytical and communication skills
* Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
