This role is pivotal in identifying and mitigating environmental risks across a broad region, ensuring compliance with regulations.

You will work collaboratively with the Environmental Health Unit Team on ongoing environmental inspections, management, recommendations, programs, and education to meet Council's requirements and maintain quality living, working, and wellbeing standards throughout Wyndham City.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct regular premises inspections throughout the Wyndham region to identify potential environment health risks
">
* Inspect outbreaks and health matters that may affect municipal health and respond to diverse stakeholder complaints
">
* Develop proposals to manage potential environmental/public health risks and ensure compliance with regulations
">
* Provide expert advice and make recommendations for control measures, risk mitigation, and health standard compliance
">
* Oversee construction and maintenance of premises (including food; industrial, beauty) to ensure relevant standards are met
">

Required Skills and Qualifications
">
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
">
">
* A Degree qualification in Applied Science (Environmental Health) or equivalent declared by the Department of Health
">
* Membership eligibility in Environmental Health Professionals Australia
">
* Experience delivering environmental health services inspections and legislative requirements in a diverse growth region
">
* Systems skills with specific Environmental Health Services software experience
">
* A strong independent management approach with collaboration and team contribution ability
">
* Advanced communication skills for written reports and professional liaison
">
* Sound knowledge and practicality of Government Acts pertaining to Environmental Health services delivery
