Overview
The Clinical Nurse Consultant – Patient Safety role is based in Hobart's Central Business District as part of the Quality & Patient Safety Service (Tasmanian Health Service – South). The multidisciplinary team supports the delivery of safe care by monitoring, evaluating and continuously improving quality initiatives across southern Tasmania.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical leadership to support and enhance patient safety and quality improvement across the health service.
* Coordinate safety event monitoring, lead investigations into serious incidents, and facilitate the implementation and evaluation of safety and quality initiatives.
* Work closely with clinical teams to promote evidence‐based practice, manage patient feedback, analyse safety data, and deliver education and advice to drive continuous improvement and minimise patient harm.
Qualifications
Required:
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
Desirable:
* Relevant postgraduate qualifications.
* Current driver's licence.
Details of Appointment
Permanent full‐time day worker, working up to 76 hours per fortnight. Hours will be negotiated with the successful applicant. Position commences as soon as possible.
Salary
$118,297 to $125,543 per annum (pro‐rata). Employer contributes 12% superannuation on top of this amount. Salary range aligns with the Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
* Postgraduate allowance up to 10% based on qualification type.
