Kirin Industries Holdings Pty Ltd is a growing Australian manufacturer specialising in high-quality truck bodies, including ALLYPAN lightweight aluminium pantech systems, trays, tippers, and custom commercial vehicle solutions.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Vehicle / Truck Body Builder to join our skilled fabrication team at our Crestmead facility. This role suits someone who takes pride in precision work, understands structural integrity, and enjoys working with both steel and aluminium systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Read and interpret engineering drawings, production drawings, and specifications
* Fabricate, assemble, and fit truck bodies including ALLYPAN lightweight aluminium bodies
* Cut, prepare, and assemble aluminium panels, frames, and substructures
* Perform steel fabrication where required (subframes, mounts, reinforcements)
* Operate workshop equipment including guillotines, presses, grinders, drills, and hand tools
* Assist with ALLYPAN panel installation, bonding, fastening, sealing, and finishing
* Carry out repairs, modifications, and rectification works
* Inspect finished work to ensure compliance with quality standards and tolerances
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop
* Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet production deadlines
* Adhere strictly to workplace health and safety requirements
Skills & Experience (Including ALLYPAN)
* Trade qualification or minimum 2 years' relevant experience as a Vehicle or Truck Body Builder
* Experience working with aluminium fabrication and lightweight body systems (highly regarded)
* Understanding of panel bonding, mechanical fastening, and sealing methods
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions
* Experience with precision fit-up and alignment of modular body systems
* Competent with fabrication tools, workshop machinery, and equipment
* Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain)
* High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
* Strong safety awareness and reliability
* Willingness to learn and work with proprietary systems such as ALLYPAN
(Training will be provided for ALLYPAN systems for the right candidate.)
