The Role
The Head Chef /Kitchen Manager will be in charge of all operations of this fresh, modern, and vibrant kitchen, which is open 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch and only open for dinner from Thursday to Saturday. The ideal candidate will collaborate with the owners, inspire others, and manage the Kitchen along with the following responsibilities:
* Design menus, implement seasonal changes, weekly specials, and event packages
* Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, policies, procedures, and food safety
* Build relationships with local suppliers to maximize sourcing opportunities
* Lead, manage, and mentor the kitchen team by example
* Coordinate with FOH staff to meet KPIs and uphold high service standards
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will possess, but not be limited to, the following attributes:
* Relevant qualifications in kitchen operations and food safety
* 5+ years of proven experience in managing A la Carte dining and functions
* Creative, passionate, inspiring, collaborative, with strong business acumen
* Experience in leading and growing a kitchen team
* Purchasing, stocktaking, budget management, and COGS experience
* Excellent time management, calmness under pressure, integrity, honesty, and empathy
