About the Role
Ensure patients and other staff are treated fairly and with mutual respect and understanding, regardless of cultural, religious, ethnic and linguistic backgrounds.
To provide ethical decision making in the achievement of organisational objectives
Provide inpatient and outpatient care by Assessing adult cardiology patients, determining and instigating appropriate investigations
Establish management plan for patients in consultation with the Consultant cardiologist
Where appropriate, ensure discharge planning commences early in the process of care
Communicate assessment findings, proposed management plans and alternatives to patientand carers and seek consent
Ensure treatment orders are appropriately documented (including medications and general management plans).
Gather input from appropriate multidisciplinary teams for patient's ongoing clinical care
Continually monitor and review patient progress and adjust the management plan whennecessary
Identify clinical concerns and deterioration and escalate these issues in a timely fashion to the responsible Consultant
Ensure timely communication with other health care providers and carers to ensure appropriate clinical handover during the hospital stay and on discharge to the community
Participate in delivery of the cardiology outreach clinical service as required by the department
