About the Client
Our Client is a well-established operator within critical infrastructure, delivering essential services that support the community. What you will be doing
As a Trades Assistant – Mechanical / Electrical, you will be responsible for the below duties:
* Assisting electrical trades with reactive and corrective maintenance on industrial electrical systems
* Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance tasks on assets and processes
* Responding to and assisting with rectification of equipment failures
* Completing basic maintenance tasks and installation works
* Assisting with programmed maintenance and capital works
* Supporting commissioning and decommissioning of assets and plant
* Performing facility maintenance tasks including cleaning and grounds keeping
* Spotting, deliveries, warehouse management, and operation of construction equipment
* Participating in after-hours maintenance support when required
What you will need
To be successful in this role you will need to have the following:
* Current Driver's Licence
* National Licence to Perform High Risk Work
* Dogman licence
* Truck licence
* Previous experience in a similar mechanical or electrical trades assistant role
* Strong safety awareness and ability to follow procedures
* Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from trades and supervisors
Desirable:
* Experience within the water industry
* Lock Out Tag Out experience
* HIAB truck experience
* Tilt tray truck experience
* EWP over 11 metres
* Welding experience
* Confined Space and Working at Heights certifications
* Experience setting up bypass pumps and generators
