Application Engineer supports customers and the national sales network by providing technical solutions, facilitating pre‐sales activities, and managing the bidding process.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with external stakeholders to understand project requirements and advise on the best solutions.
* Perform feasibility analysis for request‐for‐estimate and develop professional business proposals consistent with company standards.
* Prepare cost estimates, pricing, and proposals for bids.
* Ensure all aspects of the bidding process meet deadlines and are coordinated with sales and cross‐functional teams.
* Support pre‐sales activity, including preliminary engineering and pricing.
* Communicate with suppliers regarding requests for offers for specific materials.
* Coordinate with global factory and engineering teams for design scope, estimation, and production.
* Conduct periodic technical visits to manufacturing facilities.
Knowledge & Skills
* Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
* Excellent written and spoken English.
* High technical knowledge of generator and material handling products.
* Good understanding of project‐management principles.
* Strong communication and relational skills.
* Organizational and management aptitude.
* Attention to detail and problem‐solving abilities.
* Teamwork orientation and ability to work in a fast‐paced setting.
Qualifications
* Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
* Availability to travel interstate and internationally.
