Legal Secretary
This is a dynamic role for an organised and professional Legal Secretary to provide high-level administrative support to lawyers in various legal practice areas.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Preparing, formatting, and proofreading legal documents, correspondence, and court filings.
* Managing electronic and hard-copy file systems efficiently.
* Communicating with clients, counsel, and other stakeholders in a professional manner.
* Scheduling appointments, meetings, and managing busy calendars.
* Assisting with billing, timesheet management, and expense processing.
* Handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and post.
* Coordinating travel arrangements when necessary.
Court and File Preparation
* Collating briefs for court hearings and maintaining litigation schedules.
* Ensuring deadlines for filings and submissions are met, and documents are prepared in a timely manner.
We're Looking for a Skilled Candidate
* Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar administrative role within a law firm.
* Familiarity with legal procedures, terminology, and documentation.
* Strong typing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent organisational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
* High attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
* Client-focused with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters.
