Job Description
We are seeking casual relief Trainers/Assessors to add to our pool of Trainers. As a Trainer and Assessor
, you will deliver high-quality language, literacy, and numeracy training programs to empower learners and support their vocational and personal goals. This hands-on role involves designing and evaluating training, conducting assessments, and maintaining accurate reporting to meet government contract requirements and national standards.
This role requires the successful candidate to work across any of the seven NSF sites located in Sydney, NSW, ensuring flexibility and adaptability to meet operational needs.
Locations include Bankstown, Liverpool, Fairfield, Cabramatta, Parramatta, Auburn, and Campbelltown.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and client-focused language, literacy, and numeracy training using adult learning principles and a variety of methodologies.
* Conduct diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of client progress.
* Design, develop, and validate tools and resources that align with program and learner needs.
* Foster learner engagement through real-world, project-based learning and innovative use of technology.
* Maintain accurate records of training delivery and ensure compliance with privacy and reporting requirements.
* Continuously improve professional knowledge and skills through training, curriculum development, and the adoption of new technologies.
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate is a dedicated educator with a passion for delivering impactful training that enhances learners' skills and opportunities.
It is
essential
you can demonstrate the following criteria:
1. A Bachelor's degree and
2. Post-graduate qualification in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or Adult LLN (e.g., Grad Dip TESOL) and
3. Relevant Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116); required by ASQA.
4. Demonstrated teaching capability and recent experience delivering client-focused education.
5. Proficiency in using classroom technology and an ability to integrate innovative tools into teaching.
6. Skilled in conducting assessments using nationally accredited curricula (e.g., EAL, FSK) and frameworks (e.g., ACSF).
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience working in multicultural learning environments.
Desirable Criteria:
* Knowledge of AQTF principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Experience using learning management systems (e.g., Moodle) and student management systems (e.g., VETtrak).
* Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
* Industry experience in fields relevant to learners' job aspirations, such as hospitality, community services, or warehousing.
