About the role
We are seeking a Team Leader Transmission Lines Construction to join our growing National Project Delivery team.
In this role you will lead and mentor a crew of Transmission Lines Workers to deliver a wide range of construction and maintenance projects across South Australia and interstate. These projects include:
* Conductor replacements and removals
* Insulator and hardware upgrades
* Tower and pole repairs and installations
* New line builds (stringing tower installations pole setups)
* Live line and bare hand works
* Support for substation and renewable generation projects
The position is based at Direk SA with frequent travel to project sites across SA and interstate. Typical rosters are 10 days on / 4 days off working 11‑hour days with generous overtime (double time) and living away from home allowances. Flexibility to work varying rosters is required.
Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate daily activities of your crew on site.
* Drive safety, quality and efficiency across all project tasks.
* Mentor and develop team members to build capability.
* Collaborate with Project Managers and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
* Ensure compliance with standards, regulations and company procedures.
About you
You are a hands‑on leader with a strong technical background and the ability to guide crews in complex high‑voltage environments.
You will bring:
* Cert III in ESI Transmission Overhead
* Extensive experience in Transmission Lines construction projects
* Previous leadership or supervisory experience
* Current SA Electrical Workers Licence (or eligibility under mutual recognition)
* Current SA Drivers Licence
