Job Description
The role of Assistant Manager is an important leadership position within the CVG store network, serving as crucial support for Store Managers and playing a key role in employee development.
The Assistant Manager actively contributes to the store's business plan. Working under the guidance of the Store Manager, this role involves coaching employees, overseeing projects aimed at achieving sales and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), providing constructive feedback and counselling to employees when necessary and aligning with Bapcor's values and expectations.
In periods of the Store Manager's absence, the Assistant Manager will step into the leadership role, taking responsibility for guiding the store to meet the required KPIs. This position is integral to the overall success and growth of the store and serves as a pathway for ambitious individuals aiming for future leadership roles within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Assist in monitoring and enforcing store compliance to all Bapcor safety protocols, regulations, and company policies.
* Liaise with the Store Manager to achieve plans and actions aimed at achieving sales and financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the store.
* Proactively seek opportunities to enhance management and leadership capabilities within the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
* Demonstrate a keen understanding of customers and actively engage with store employees to ensure alignment with customer service standards and Bapcor's expectations.
* Lead by example in demonstrating a solid commitment to Bapcor's customer service excellence in all interactions with customers, both internally and externally.
* Execute assigned financial and administrative responsibilities as instructed by the Store Manager, aligning tasks with individual experience and developmental goals.
* Perform general cleaning and housekeeping duties to maintain a tidy and organized store environment.
Qualifications
About you:
* Progressing towards a Diploma or Degree in Business or related field is preferred.
* Proficiency in managing time effectively and communicating clearly.
* Intermediate skills in leadership and managing people.
* Intermediate competence in customer service, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
* Intermediate skills in business financial management, including understanding Profit & Loss (P&L), margins, and account management.
* Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* Intermediate knowledge of Work Health & Safety requirements, including incident response.
* Possession of the right to work in Australia.
