Hotel Monier is seeking an experienced Grill Chef to join our kitchen team.
To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of 2 years' experience working in a high-volume steakhouse-style pub or restaurant. Strong butchering skills are essential, including portion control of various beef prime cuts and the ability to value-add trim. This is a full time position with an annual salary of $75,000-$80,000 plus superannuation.
You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-cultural brigade and demonstrate:
* Monitor the quality of dishes
* Work unsupervised/independently
* Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
* Staff training
* Implement and enforce hygiene regulations.
* Identify and resolve issues and problems that may arise
* Strong communication skills
* A proactive, team-focused attitude
