Project Manager Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a project with an outstanding team at the Smithtown Factory, home of MILO and Nescafe single serve Café Menu range.
As a Project Engineer, you will lead and manage the entire project life cycle of capital investment projects from concept to execution within the operating factory environment. You will ensure cross-functional teams deliver objectives aligned to the various project charters.
A day in the life of a Project Engineer includes:
* Managing implementation, ensuring the safety of the plant, products and personnel.
* Preliminary analysis for projects including building, utilities, services, equipment and layout.
* Supervising installation of equipment and being responsible for the budget and scope.
* Updating/creating site technical drawings and documentation.
* Executing the basic and detailed design of the project based on Nestl's Corporate Business Principles, standards, local regulations and user requirements specifications.
* Ensuring safety by design during construction and ongoing operation of the plant.
* Leading and coordinating the contribution of all stakeholders to implement the project according to defined timing, cost and quality.
* Coordinating efforts with the start-up manager and team to assure a smooth transition to operations.
* Selecting, qualifying and coordinating contractors' activities.
To be successful, you will need:
* A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills to deliver quality outcomes against project charters.
* Completion of tertiary study in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical, Automation or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in the Engineering field.
* Project Management skills, including analytical and budgetary skills.
* Experience working in food manufacturing environments, preferred.
* Leadership skills, with a proven track record in delivering results by working with cross-functional teams.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to influence and negotiate to drive high standards of performance and quality.
* Self-management following defined KPIs/Objectives, and proactive tracking of them.
