Moreton Bay College was established in 1901 as a school for girls from P-12 and now supports an enrolment in excess of 1100 students. THE POSITION
The College is seeking an experienced Japanese Tutor to work at Moreton Bay College. This is a casual position.
The CEO & Executive Principal delegates his authority to senior staff members for the effective management of the College. This role will report directly to the Head of Department – Languages.
All staff need to be supportive of the values, Christian ethos and Ethical Statement of this Uniting Church day school for girls from PP-12.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Conduct small group listening and speaking sessions, exposing students to authentic conversation scenarios within a topic of study
* Assist with cultural activities such as sports, cooking, games, and songs
* Create print-based resources to support speaking and listening activities with students
* Develop audio-visual language resources for classroom work and assessment tasks
* Complete other tasks, as requested by the Head of Department – Languages;
* Actively contribute to a safety citizenship culture upholding health and safety policies, procedures, hazard reporting and safe work practices.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES
* Possess tertiary qualifications, or equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education;
* Excellent technological literacy to support the use of a range of applications;
* Ability to work collaboratively and energetically within a high-performing school culture;
* Hold, or be eligible to obtain a Positive Blue Card.
CONDITIONS AND SALARY
* This is a casual role with salary to be paid at School Officer Level 3 plus casual loading as per the Moreton Bay College Enterprise Agreement;
* The College contributes superannuation on behalf of the employee as per the super guarantee.
