Enterprise Architect will work on the Funding and Disclosure (FAD) program representatives and
Indigo Program, including service designers, business analysts, policy writers, program architects, Enterprise Architects, procurement specialists, IT Security and other stakeholders to shape and inform outcomes. As such, strong communication and stakeholder engagement and
management skills are essential.
The Enterprise Architect will be expected to develop a firm understanding of the holistic
business current-state and desired outcomes, working with business Subject Matter Experts
(SME) for domain expertise. Therefore, the ability to identify, shape and describe opportunities
for technological innovation within the context of business outcomes and business problems will
be vital to being successful in this role.
Key duties and responsibilities
* Collaborate with FAD and Indigo Program technical teams.
* Understand existing IT infrastructure and program standards.
* Partner with CIO, FAD, and Indigo leads on enterprise architecture.
* Define and establish architectural standards and principles.
* Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective IT solutions.
* Enforce IT governance frameworks and best practices.
* Identify and mitigate technology-related risks.
* Perform additional duties as directed by the Director.
Essential Criteria
* Understand Agile project delivery framework and have experience in managing IT change within an Agile project or Program.
* Experience in a similar role in a complex IT environment.
* Experience working with Program Managers and Product Owners managing competing requirements and business processes.
* Effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior executives and key stakeholders.
* Experience in ITIL processes and structures.
* Proven ability to deliver Enterprise Architecture in a complex ICT environment and meet business requirements which align with organisational/environmental constraints.
Desirable Criteria
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in producing innovative Enterprise Architecture for both current and future state.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate between business and technical terminology
Working Arrangements
* Initial contract until 30 June 2026,
* One 12-month extension option.
* Up to 40 hours per week
* Hybrid work model, based in Canberra, ACT.
