Duties Assist geologists with geological fieldwork and rock sample collection across Tasmania.Store or cut rock samples in the office, drill core library, or rock store in Hobart, following established processes.Perform data entry to support field geologists and historical data back-capture.Contribute to core library functions, including:Cataloguing and curating drill cores and samples,Maintaining the Mineral Resources Tasmania TIGER information system,Performing technical work according to standard practices and protocols.Applicants must provide evidence of COVID-19 vaccination or an approved exemption.Vaccination is defined as receiving all necessary doses for a COVID-19 vaccination certificate from the Australian Immunisation Register or equivalent documentation from outside Australia.Exemptions may be granted if:There is a medical contraindication, supported by documentation from a medical practitioner certifying the contraindication, orThere are exceptional circumstances as determined by the Head of Agency, such as holding a current First Aid Certificate, preferably in remote first aid.
