There is now an exciting opportunity for an IT Service Desk Officer to join our Information Systems team on a permanent, full-time basis.
The primary responsibility of the IT Service Desk Officer is to provide remote and in-person desktop support. This position will provide first and second level desktop support to users as directed through the IT incident management system. This position will also take on the provisioning and decommissioning of end user computers and maintain the RME IT Asset Management System.
You will be part of a large community, providing assistance in a variety of different tasks to staff who are primarily located in Australia or occasionally based in our regional service centres in North America and Africa.
Qualifications
* Sound understanding of Windows Desktop and server operating systems
* Sound knowledge of desktop, laptop, and networking technologies
* Ability to develop and maintain solid working relationships with key ICT and Business Information Systems (BIS) providers
* Ability to provide advice on appropriate IT solutions, best‐practice initiatives, and policies
* At least 5 years' experience in an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) role
* Experience with the support of engineering and manufacturing systems
* Ability to analyse complex ICT matters and advise management accordingly
