**About the role**As an Assistant Thrift Shop Manager, this is your opportunity to lead and develop the stores to maximize profits and strengthen links between thrift shops, wider community, Corps, and other staff members.Reporting to the Thrift Shop Manager, this is a casual role, located in Stawell, VIC.
**How you will make an impact*** Maximise sales and revenue by processing donations, managing stock levels and rotation, supporting in-store promotions, and approving pricing adjustments or discounts.
* Deliver high-quality customer service by responding to customer needs, training staff and volunteers, and promoting opportunities to connect customers with The Salvation Army mission.
* Support efficient store operations by supervising volunteers, coordinating rosters and attendance, assisting with recruitment programs, and ensuring smooth running of the store in the manager's absence.
* Maintain accurate financial and administrative processes including daily cash reconciliation, banking, keeping finance and sales records, and building collaborative relationships with community and partner agencies.
* Promote a safe, secure and well-maintained workplace by upholding WH&S standards, recording incidents, ensuring cleaning and maintenance, coordinating repairs, and securing the store at opening and closing.
