Construction Manager – Renewables
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Construction Manager to join our growing team, supporting the successful delivery of renewable energy infrastructure projects across Australia.
As part of AEC’s construction leadership team, this role will be responsible for overseeing the on-site delivery of major works across utility-scale solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). You will manage teams, programs, and subcontractors while ensuring quality, safety and environmental compliance across our projects.
This is a key role requiring a strong background in construction management within the renewables or infrastructure sector. You will bring a passion for leading high-performing teams and delivering complex projects to a high standard — safely and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
•Lead and manage construction site activities across renewable energy infrastructure projects
•Deliver projects in accordance with program, budget, safety and environmental objectives
•Supervise construction teams and subcontractors, providing clear direction and leadership
•Monitor progress, identify and mitigate project risks and implement corrective actions as needed
•Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure smooth coordination across disciplines
•Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, codes of practice, standards and company policies
•Promote a safety-first culture across all project activities
•Prepare and review reports, project schedules, forecasts and risk assessments
Skills and Experience Required:
•Extensive experience managing construction projects in the renewables, infrastructure, or civil sectors
•Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
•Sound knowledge of OH&S and environmental legislation, as well as construction industry standards and practices
•Proven ability to develop, implement and manage construction programs
•Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage teams and contractors effectively
•Construction White Card and valid driver’s licence
