As we continue to grow and extend our Product Development team, we're on the lookout for a Garment Technician / Quality Assurance Co-ordinator bursting with creativity, imagination, and a love for all things little and lovely to join us
As part of our close-knit design/production team, you'll work side-by-side with our Designers to bring whimsical prints, fun graphics, and gorgeous garments to life — creations that make kids (and parents) smile across Australia and New Zealand.

We are looking for someone to work in our head office on either a 3/4 day week permanent part time basis or Full Time.
Key responsibilities:
* Research colour and style trends
* Design textile, print and placement artwork for baby/children apparel
* Accurately interpret and execute briefs from the designers - yardages, placements, screen prints, embroideries, embellishments and more
* Create finished artwork, prepare feedback and correspond with offshore suppliers
Working in our production team, responsibilities will include:
* Measure & check samples against specification sheets in preparation for fit.
* Problem solving garment fit & garment construction.
* Support the design team in translating the design concept to technical specifications sheets.
* Create technical and quality assurance reports to ensure fit and workmanship is consistently achieved and is meeting brand standards and expectations.
* Preparing graded specifications for overseas production
* Checking bulk quality of production as it arrives into our warehouse.
* Communicate directly with factories regarding any issues.
To be successful for this role which is available to start immediately, you must have experience in children's wear production and quality assurance will be highly regarded.
You will also:
* Have strong technical knowledge on garment construction and pattern making.
* Have experience assessing garments for quality and expressing expectations to factories.
* Experience in babies and children's clothing especially ideally in Knitwear and Swimwear categories.
* High level of attention to detail.
* Experience in dealing with China and other overseas factories.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.
* Experience working under pressure and juggling tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy and detail.
* Good communication skills, both written and oral
* Must have the ability to work in a small team but also confident working autonomously when required.
* Must be flexible to help on tasks where required, reliable and extremely organised.
