Australian Steel Mill Services is a major contractor and service provider to BlueScope Steel, Port Kembla. ASMS is contracted to collect and treat molten slag from the blast furnace and the steel making processes. We are responsible for the processing and marketing of approximately 1.2 million tonnes of slag per year.
What we're looking for
To drive profit and volume for ASMS through the sale of slag products for specific civil works including, road base products, asphalt aggregates and any other suitable application. To manage ASMS current customer base, to prospect to potential new customers, and promote the utilisation of slag for applications that is suitable for its use.
You'll be accountable for
Providing quality and accurate information to management in order to make key strategic decisions.
Maximise ASMS slag sales to highest value
Keep abreast to market trends and matters arising in the markets in which we compete
Maintain and improve relationships with existing customer base
Establish a plan for prospecting of new customers and markets. Build relationships with these potential customers
Maintain sales call cycle and marketing feedback (CRM System) to Manager, Sales and Business Development
Skills & Knowledge
Basic understanding and ability to implement all facets of the sales function
Strong communication and relationship skills
Strong attention to detail
Effective Microsoft Office suite skills
Experience
3-5 years sales experience. Experience in quarry products or construction material would be an advantage.
