Agronomic Specialist Role
This key position within our agricultural operations is responsible for various aspects of crop health and productivity.
About the Position
* The Agronomic Specialist will collaborate with internal stakeholders, farming managers, suppliers, and contractors to ensure seamless operations.
* Maintenance of crop monitoring systems, reporting findings, and implementing integrated pest management (IPM) strategies.
* Support in calibration of equipment, including fertiliser spreaders, air-blast misters, and spray booms on farms.
* Conducting trials, collecting data, and providing actionable insights.
* Effective communication of trial outcomes, recommendations, and best practices.
* Management of IPM and biological systems for tropical production in the Wet Tropics region.
* Participation in research and development activities, including trial design, fieldwork, data analysis, and reporting.
* Providing agronomic support for current and future cropping systems, ensuring optimal crop health and yield.
Key Requirements:
* Degree in Agricultural Science or related field.
* Knowledge of crop nutrition, irrigation, and pest and disease management.
* Ability to analyse, interpret, and report data effectively.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
* Effective team collaboration and communication skills.
