The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Coordinator to join our Finance team in a permanent part time capacity. Must have End to End payroll experience.
Responsibilities:
As the Payroll Coordinator you will be responsible for the timely and accurate management and processing of payroll for 200+ on-hire staff, related payroll enquiries as well as various accounting activities and tasks. You will process various payroll and accounts related tasks in an appropriate and accurate manner and in compliance with statutory and all legislative requirements.
The Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Timely and accurate processing of an end-to-end weekly external payroll
Handle and resolve all externally payroll and related invoicing issues
Manage employee leave requests and medical certificates
Interpret Awards and Agreements
Ensure the development and implementation of payroll controls and procedures within the payroll system to ensure continuous improvement occurs
Assist in the development and implementation of appropriate measures to ensure that all non-compliances are rectified within acceptable timeframes and relevant parties notified
Maintain all files and records in an up-to-date and accurate manner
Assist the Accounts team with various other accounts related tasks
Skills and Experience:
Minimum 3 years accounts/ bookkeeping experience
Experience with END-to-END payroll
Payroll experience including an understanding of payroll legislation and regulations and ability to interpret Awards
Meticulous attention to detail
Strong numerical aptitude and computer skills
Clear oral and written communication skills
Excellent time management, prioritisation and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Strong administrative skills
