**Introduction**:
Disaster Relief Australia (DRA) unites the skills and experience of veterans and other volunteers to help communities prepare for and recover from disaster.
A growing not-for-profit DRA operates across Australia to provide help and assistance to those impacted by disaster, including floods, fires and cyclones.
The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing high-level administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and to ensure the smooth functioning of the Office of the CEO. This position requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, discretion and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
**Description**:
Key accountabilities
Manage and maintain the CEO’s calendar, which may include scheduling appointments and meetings.
Prepare and edit correspondence, reports and presentations.
Conduct research and compile information on various topics as directed by the CEO.
Manage confidential information and sensitive documents with discretion and integrity.
Perform general office management tasks as required to ensure effective operation of CEO.
Act as a liaison between the CEO and other executives, managers, employees, volunteers and external stakeholders to ensure communication is explicit, effective and timely.
Manage the CEO’s travel arrangements, including booking flights and hotels, and ensure that all arrangements are cost effective and efficient.
Providing support in DRA reporting activities as required.
Provide assistance to the Board Secretary as required to support the effective running of Board meetings.
Undertake any project or responsibility assigned to them by the CEO.
Undertake a range of general administrative or project duties as required to support DRA functions.
Key challenges
Managing competing priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment where employees are located in geographically diverse locations. Demonstrating a high level of attention to detail and maintaining confidentiality in this environment will be essential.

This role a fulltime, fixed term contract with possibility of extension.
**Salary**: 90-95,000 p.a. + superannuation, salary packaging of eligible employees
**Location**: Flexible, remote or hybrid role.
**Start**: Immediately
This role is suitable for applicants with experience as volunteers of Disaster Relief Australia or employees of DRA with in-depth knowledge of the organisation.
