An exciting opportunity exists for an Accounts Payable Officer to provide essential financial support within a local council based in Wantirna South. This role encompasses managing creditors, invoice processing, and providing expert guidance on Accounts Payable procedures.

**About You**:
- Proficient in data processing and Accounts Payable procedures
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- Experienced with complex ERP systems, preferably Computron
- Minimum Year 11 or 12 (VCE) education
- Able to learn and adapt to recent systems quickly
- Experience in an automated Accounts Payable environment within a large organisation
- Strong knowledge and understanding of accounts department controls and processing procedures
- Proficient in computer skills and payment processing procedures
- Understanding of EDP procedures and Accounts Payable practices
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Manage and administer creditor systems
- Validate invoices and prepare them for scanning and distribution
- Respond to queries and offer guidance on Accounts Payable processes
- Support and back up the Accounts Team Leader as needed
- Participate actively in the Council's performance and development processes
**What Success Looks Like**:
- Delivering excellent service to both external and internal customers
- Assisting in the control and administration of the creditors system
- Accurate and timely input of creditor invoices
- Effective distribution of invoices for authorisation
- Collaboration with the Team Leader Accounts to enhance team performance
