Responsibilities
- Development of 2D and 3D models of projects and create shop drawings for prefabrication.
- Development of detailed construction drawings
- Site visits prior to commencement of design to assess suitability of prefabrication and site access
- With CAD Manager. develop ‘standard’ construction detail and create library of construction details and wall systems.
- Collaboration with architects and engineers to ensure most effective construction method & approach
- Completion of preliminary engineering as required
- Develop loading plans for correct sequence assembly
- Creation of cutting file for Hundegger
- Order material based on cutting list with current stock in mind
Strategic
- Collaboration with CAD Manager, Project Manager and other Cadwork users to develop a suitable and cost-effective prefabrication solution for each project by interpreting plans and drawings
- Manage workflow and ensuring production quality
- Review production procedures and implement agreed to optimisation
- Collaboration with General Manager and CAD Manager to estimate cost requirements and timelines for projects
- Collection and summation of project (production and assembly) feedback
- Liaise with CAD Manager to track of modelling and shop drawings times
- Respond in a timely manner to emails
Work, Health & Safety
- Make sure that work sites are clear of any hazardous materials prior to the commencement of projects.
- Ensure work sites are organised in an effective manner to ensure the most efficient process for work (deliveries, prefabrication, storage etc) and people (staff, contractors, visitors etc)
General
- Build and maintain robust relationships with colleagues, clients, contractors etc
- Demonstrate commitment to excellent customer service by being polite, showing respect, maintaining expected standards of work and keeping work areas clean
