Job Description
We are looking for a self-driven and motivated individual for a newly created role in our ever-growing engineering team. The successful applicant will support the sales and service teams, interpret customer requirements, have a sound understanding of control systems and be able to develop and maintain project specific documentation. This role will also support the selection and procurement of project specific components and provide testing and commissioning support.
Specific Tasks
1. Support sales during quotation phase to help ensure feasibility and budget are correct for the project.
2. Assist sales department with customer enquiries and technical support.
3. Uphold the PEP-ETO process. Use and store the appropriate project documentation in BeQIK.
4. Provide advice to customers and sales team on detailed application understanding of controls systems on mobile and industrial hydraulic machinery.
5. Design, Develop, Test and Commission control systems solutions in alignment with function specifications.
6. Manage small to mid-size/complexity projects, conducting risk assessment and implementation of control measures.
7. Assist design draftsman and graduate engineers within the scope of assigned projects.
8. Continuously expand technical knowledge of Rexroth product portfolio.
9. Test new Rexroth products and aid in product stability development.
10. Travel to site (Domestically and Internationally) to commission control systems.
11. Write project specific documents for handover and future support of systems.
12. Contribute to project handover process to service department and customers.
13. Continually pursue project deployment and process improvements.
Qualifications
14. Australian citizen or Permanent Resident
15. Degree in Mechatronics or Software Engineering or equivalent Trade qualification
16. Experience in programming of industrial controllers
17. Strong analytical, problem solving and fault-finding abilities
18. Mechanical and Hydraulic knowledge is an advantage
19. Proficient in Codesys IEC 61131-3 environment
20. Proficient in Functional Safety
21. Proficient in CANBUS & Ethernet Fieldbus Systems
22. Possess working Mechanical and Hydraulic knowledge and understanding
