About the role sele ctability is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to cover the role of general manager in Townsville from 22 December 2025 to 4 January 2026. This leave coverage role requires an individual with strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a commitment to improving mental health services. The acting general manager will work closely with the executive team, stakeholders, and community partners to ensure that selectability's services are accessible, innovative, and align with the diverse needs of the region. About you To be considered for this rewarding role you will have: strong leadership skills and a commitment to selectability's values of accountability, commitment, compassion, innovation, integrity, positivity, and respect ability to build and maintain relationships with employees, stakeholders and community members excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including presentation skills highly developed analytical, problem solving, and numerical skills including the ability to compile, analyse data and prepare reports a demonstrated high level of attention to detail with a consistent approach a demonstrated ability to prioritise conflicting priorities as required Role requirements relevant tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, mental health, or a related field (highly desirable) demonstrated experience in mental health, NDIS, and community services (highly desirable) a Child Safety & Personal History Screening check a Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (or the ability to obtain) a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability or obtain) NDIS Worker Orientation Module "Quality, Safety & You" completion certificate (or the ability or obtain) About the offer The acting general manager is a full time position from the 22 December 2025 to 4 January 2026 based in Townsville.
