Townsville Hospital and Health Service is seeking a motivated Clinical Nurse - Facilitator Anaesthetics to actively guide, mentor and provide support to graduate nurses, students and new staff.
This is a temporary part-time role, commencing ASAP - 19/07/2026, working 40 hours per fortnight.
This position is a job share arrangement and requires flexibility with working days and shifts across Monday to Friday in addition to On Call requirements.
About your opportunity
The Clinical Nurse Facilitator Anaesthetics role is to actively guide, mentor and provide support to graduate nurses, students and new staff. The facilitator will work collaboratively with the Perioperative Nurse Educator to provide direct nursing care utilising clinical skills, education and support to patients/clients and nursing staff within the unit to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care. The facilitator will be expected to assist in identifying performance issues and working in collaboration with the Nurse Educator to manage such.
The facilitator is to actively participate in the Graduate Nurse training program and subsequent projects. The facilitator is to actively engage with staff on the floor to help foster positive engagement and learning for all staff. There is a requirement for the facilitator to provide or support staff providing education sessions delivered to the unit on Friday mornings.
This role provides leadership whilst performing the role of the Anaesthetic nurse within this operating theatre when required.

* Salary range: $54.44 to $58.30 p.h. (NG6-1)
* 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

Requirements:
* Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
* Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
* Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which will include participation in an on-call roster.
