Senior Manager/Director – Energy Networks & Retail

Role Our Operational Transformation practice is looking for an experienced Senior Manager or Director to join the team. The role partners with energy clients to solve complex problems in a transitioning market driven by decarbonisation, distributed energy, digitisation and evolving customer expectations. We combine leadership, operating model definition, service design and technology change to help clients grow and succeed. Our culture emphasizes kindness, curiosity and excellence at work.

Responsibilities

* Leading teams to design and deliver business solutions to clients across the energy landscape, with a focus on Energy Networks and/or Energy Retail.
* Supporting clients to translate strategic intent into operating model capabilities and redesign their operating model to deliver end-to-end value for the customer.
* Helping clients set their transformation vision, define expected outcomes, and articulate organisational wide problem statements to guide strategic direction.
* Designing and delivering complex transformations to increase agility and adaptability in technology-focused areas and the broader business.
* Leading the development of organisational strategy to support clients through energy market transitions.
* Re-engineering customer experiences and improving efficiencies to deliver sustainable, customer-centred outcomes.
* Working with client leaders to embed new cultures and ways of working across organisations, at leadership and staff levels.
* Collaborating with senior stakeholders and market specialists to broaden skill sets and expertise.

Your skills and experience

* Experience leading delivery of business transformation projects in the regulated Energy/Utilities sectors.
* Experience in organisational agility transformations and large program definition and delivery.
* Management consulting experience in design and implementation of Target Operating Model and/or Transformation & Change delivery.
* Experience designing and delivering customer strategies to respond to changing customer needs.
* Experience in end-to-end business process improvement addressing cost/efficiency, customer needs, technology enablers, data insights and regulatory/market changes.

Skills

* Ability to conceptualize changing market dynamics and help clients define new business models, business cases for change, and future roadmaps/recommendations.
* Experience in strategy development and execution, business model innovation and growth.
* Ability to lead project teams and translate insights into actionable advice and changes.
* Ownership mindset with the ability to deliver results in challenging, client-facing environments.
* Excellent communication skills to present and convey messages to various client stakeholders.
* Capability to translate high-level decisions into detailed organisation design, including job descriptions, role impacts, consultation preparation and HR support.
