Ringwood Private Hospital are seeking a CSSD Technician to join our theatre team on a casual basis. As a member of our team you will play an important role in providing high‐quality service to theatres.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare instruments for transport to an "Offsite" processing centre and receive instruments back, unpack and store.
* Machine reprocess high turnover of endoscopes.
* Perform HDL of transperineal and ultrasound probes.
* Comply with AS/NZ standards 5369:2023 and GENCA Guidelines.
* Prioritise workload to meet theatre requirements.
* Operate, interpret and document all machinery operational requirements.
* Report and document all quality activities.
* Ensure priority of instrumentation and processes.
As a CSSD Technician you will be pivotal for safe and efficient preparation of equipment for surgeries in the theatre environment. You will undertake designated cleaning tasks ensuring high standards of cleanliness (including personal) are maintained, utilising universal standard precautions and as per policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Certificate III in Sterilisation.
* Victorian Working with Children Check.
* Must be available for a minimum of two shifts per week Monday‐Friday.
* Sound knowledge of AS/NZ 5369:2023.
* Demonstrated knowledge of instrumentation.
* Experience with tracking systems.
* Experience in reprocessing endoscopes or willingness to learn.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Intermediate computer literacy skills – including MS Office and various databases.
* Interest in promoting best practice patient care.
* Focus on professional development.
